This past July, more than 1,000 in-house counsel from Israel's leading companies gathered at Smolarz Auditorium at Tel Aviv University for ACC Israel's Annual Conference 2026 — the largest annual gathering of the Israeli in-house legal community.
We were honored to open the conference with a special video welcome message from Jason L. Brown, who welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of innovation, collaboration, and the strength of the global ACC community.
Held under the theme "AI Won't Replace Me," this year's conference focused on one of the defining opportunities facing the legal profession today: how artificial intelligence is transforming the role of in-house counsel. Throughout the day, participants explored practical ways to integrate AI into legal work while maintaining professional judgment, ethical responsibility, and strategic leadership.
One of the highlights of the conference was an inspiring keynote by Lori Cohen, Chair and Global Litigation Practice Co-Chair at Greenberg Traurig. Her presentation demonstrated how artificial intelligence can become a powerful force for good when applied responsibly and with sound human judgment. She emphasized that AI is not about replacing people — it is about empowering professionals, enhancing decision-making, and creating meaningful value when guided by ethical principles and thoughtful leadership.
The professional program featured speakers from 15 of Israel's leading law firms, alongside General Counsel, legal technology experts, academics, and business leaders. Together, they shared practical insights, real-world experience, and forward-looking perspectives on AI governance, compliance, cybersecurity, legal operations, innovation, and the evolving role of corporate legal departments.
This year's conference also introduced two exciting new initiatives. For the first time, attendees explored a dedicated Legal Technology Exhibition, showcasing innovative solutions designed specifically for corporate legal departments. In addition, five legal technology companies took the main stage to deliver live demonstrations of cutting-edge tools that are already transforming the daily work of legal teams — from legal research and document drafting to contract management, compliance, and workflow automation.
Beyond the outstanding professional content, the conference reinforced what makes ACC Israel unique: a vibrant, collaborative, and highly engaged community of in-house counsel. Throughout the day, members connected with peers, exchanged ideas, strengthened professional relationships, and expanded their professional networks. The energy in the room reflected a community committed to continuous learning, innovation, and supporting one another in an ever-changing legal landscape.
