Over the past few weeks, ACC Israel has continued to strengthen its in-house legal community through meaningful professional events, leadership initiatives, and strategic partnerships. We are pleased to share some of our recent flagship activities.
Pro bono partnership with Give a Lawyer
One of our key initiatives was the launch of a new pro bono partnership with Give a Lawyer, a nonprofit organization that engages law firms and, now, in-house legal departments in providing legal assistance to underserved communities. Gurit Vardi, General Counsel at AMP FIT and a member of the ACC Israel Board, has been appointed to lead this initiative, encouraging greater involvement of in-house counsel in pro bono activities.
As part of this collaboration, Give a Lawyer hosted an exclusive dinner bringing together managing partners from some of Israel’s leading law firms and ACC Israel representatives. Nira Poran, CEO of ACC Israel, and Gurit Vardi attended the event, marking an important step toward expanding the legal community’s contribution to society.
Annual Department Heads Forum Conference
Another highlight was the Annual Department Heads Forum Conference, led by Udi Abram, General Counsel at AU10TIX, in collaboration with FISCHER (FBC & Co.). The event brought together dozens of legal department leaders from some of Israel’s largest and most influential companies.
The program featured Amnon Meranda, former Editor-in-Chief of Ynet, one of Israel’s leading news websites and digital media platforms, who shared behind-the-scenes insights into crisis management at major corporations, and Tomy Schoenfeld, CEO of Yad2, who discussed leadership in a rapidly changing business environment.
The conference provided an opportunity for senior legal professionals to exchange experiences, gain new perspectives, and strengthen their professional networks.
Exclusive GC roundtable dinners
We also hosted another exclusive dinner for senior legal department leaders, this time in collaboration with Winston Taylor. These monthly gatherings bring together a select group of General Counsel and Heads of Legal Departments with partners from leading law firms. The intimate setting encourages open discussions, knowledge sharing, and meaningful networking, creating valuable opportunities and strengthening relationships between in-house counsel and law firm partners.
These flagship initiatives reflect ACC Israel’s commitment to empowering in-house counsel, fostering professional collaboration, and creating meaningful social impact. We recognize the strategic importance of legal leaders and remain dedicated to building a strong, connected, and influential legal community in Israel.
